Gels have become popular in cosmetics and topical medications because they are non-greasy, easy to apply, and wash off quickly.Acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder affecting hair follicles and oil glands, leading to issues like inflammation, oily skin, and blackheads. This research focuses on developing and evaluating a herbal anti-acne gel containing extracts from Bay leaf, Manilkara zapota leaves, and Vigna mungo. To optimize the gel, three different formulations (F1, F2, F3) were prepared using varying combinations of these plant extracts of Bay leaf, Manilkara zapota leaves, and Vigna mungo. The use of natural treatments to cure illnesses has great potential, and demand for herbal formulations is rising globally. Many people think that herbal remedies are a safer option than allopathic medications. The resulting gel formulations were then successfully assessed for characteristics such as colour, odour, consistency, washability, pH level, spreadability, homogeneity, and phase separation of its components.
